The
product is made from top quality petroleum coke, pitch coke
and bituminous coal, with excellent conducting property, compact
structure, low elasticity modulus, high strength, low ash content
and anti-oxidation characters, and is indispensable to arc furnace
(used in steel making) and electrothermic furnace (used in metallurgical
and chemical industry).

Cautions
of Using Graphite Electrode
- When
choosing diameters for electric furnace used in steel –
making, please refer to
current – carrying
capacity of graphite electrode.
- Avoid putting graphite electrode
in the rain and snow, try to dry them before using.
- Use special tools for loading
and unloading in order to prevent taper from damaging.
- Compressed air is needed to
blow and clean the taper sockets before connecting new electrode
and nipple.
- After connecting electrode,
try to fix the surface of both ends tightly.
- Avoid electrode lifting equipment
of electric furnaces be shaken when working in order to avoid
nipple loosening.
- The clamping apparatus are not
allowed to clamp electrode near the nipple socket.
- In order to prevent electrode
from breaking when unmelted materials inside the furnaces
fall down, electrode should be lifted according to the melting
situation and the unmelted steel should be pushed into the
melting pool.
